Weekly whump prompts!
Sorry I’ve been missing - life whumped me! But I’m back now, with a brand new set of whump writing prompts. Let me know which you like best and I’ll write a short using that prompt!
Here’s the list:
The Winter Storm: Your protagonist is caught in a sudden winter storm while trekking through a remote mountain pass. With visibility dropping and temperatures plummeting, they must find shelter before frostbite or hypothermia sets in. As they struggle to survive, their supplies run low, and they realize they must rely on an unexpected ally to make it out alive.
The Lost Memories: After a severe head injury, your character wakes up in a hospital with amnesia. They are surrounded by people who claim to know them, but their memories are blank. As they struggle to piece together their identity, they discover disturbing truths about their past that leave them questioning who they can trust. The more they learn, the more they realize someone is trying to keep them from remembering the truth.
The Hostage Situation: Your protagonist and their team are taken hostage by a ruthless criminal organization during a high-stakes mission. Bound and isolated from each other, they are subjected to intense interrogation and psychological torture. To survive and escape, they must use their wits to communicate and work together, even as the situation grows increasingly dire.
The Experiment: Your character is abducted and wakes up in a mysterious laboratory. They are subjected to a series of painful experiments that test the limits of their endurance and humanity. As they endure each trial, they meet other captives who share their plight. Together, they plot their escape while discovering the dark intentions of their captors.
The Shipwreck: Your protagonist is on a voyage when their ship is caught in a violent storm and wrecked on a desolate island. Injured and stranded, they must find a way to survive with limited resources. As they navigate the dangers of the island and the loss of their crewmates, they come to realize that they are not as alone as they thought, and the island holds secrets that could endanger them all.
